DICTATION · OCTOBER 2026

Your keyboard can take a break.

Some thoughts arrive faster than fingers can catch them. Dicky is built for those moments: hold your shortcut, speak, release, and keep working in the field you already had open.

Start with a rough pass

Say the first version out loud. You can edit names, punctuation and structure after it lands. This works especially well for replies, notes and early drafts, where getting started is the hard part.

Make speed useful

Fast recognition only matters if it preserves what you meant. Dicky sends speech to Soniox with English as the main language hint and can recognize other languages without translating them. Results depend on your microphone, connection, accent and surroundings. Review important text before sending it.

Keep the shortcut yours

Push to talk keeps the microphone tied to an action you chose. Dicky’s Talk companion starts only when you click Talk. There is no always listening wake phrase.

Try a short paragraph first. If it sounds like you, keep going.
